OpenAI key or purchase issue
If key validation fails, verify that your OpenAI API account has access to GPT-6 and available
usage. Never email or screenshot a complete API key. For Polar purchase questions, include only
the receipt ID and purchase email.
What to include in a bug report
- Operating-system version and device model (Apple silicon Mac or Windows x64 PC).
- AGI-1 version (menu bar → About).
- What you said or asked it to do, what you expected, and what actually happened.
- Whether screen capture, accessibility/input control, and microphone permissions are granted.
Common setup questions
- Which API key do I need? An OpenAI API Key with GPT-6 access.
- Where is my client config stored? On your computer —
~/Library/Application Support/AGI-1/config.env, file mode 600.
It contains non-secret AGI-1 client settings. The OpenAI key is stored separately using macOS
encrypted storage.
- Wake word does not respond? The app listens for the wake word only when
idle, using a local offline model. Check the microphone permission, then quit and reopen.
- Windows reports an unknown publisher? Do not bypass the warning. Download
only a release whose signature shows the published AGI-1 publisher name and a valid timestamp.
